Congratulations are in order for one half of the sister duo Chloe x Halle. Disney officially announced that Halle landed the role of Ariel in the live-action remake of Disney’s The Little Mermaid.
Reportedly, the film’s director was blown away by Halle’s performance. He expressed just how he felt Halle was the perfect fit for the role in a released statement.
“After an extensive search, it was abundantly clear that Halle possess that rare combination of spirit, heart, youth, innocence, and substance — plus a glorious singing voice — all intrinsic qualities necessary to play this iconic role.”
