Johnson Johnson Recalls 33,000 Baby Powder Bottles; Find Out How To Know If This Affects You!

On Friday, Johnson & Johnson issued a voluntary recall within the United States on its popular baby powder, for low amounts of asbestos contamination.
According to reports made by CNN, the recall doe not apply to all baby powder bottles, only those coming from a specific lot number. If anyone has a bottle with the lot #22318RB, they can contact the company for a refund and are being advised to discontinue using it.
This recall affects 33,000 bottles, which were produced and shipped throughout the United States last year. A test done by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration sparked the recall after finding the presence of sub-trace levels of chrysotile asbestos contamination in samples taken from a bottle that was purchased from a retailer online.
The company is already facing multiple lawsuits by women claiming their talcum products contributed to them later having cancer. On Friday, the company issued a statement saying, “JJCI has immediately initiated a rigorous, thorough investigation into this matter, and is working with the FDA to determine the integrity of the tested sample, and the validity of the test results.”
