The Dallas Mavericks are switching things up, when it comes to the national anthem and their home games.
The NBA team has stopped playing the national anthem at the request of team’s owner, Mark Cuban.
According to ESPN, the Mavericks do not plan on continuing the tradition of playing the national anthem before games in the future. The broadcasting network also reported that Cuban refused to comment further on the decision. However he did allegedly consult with the league’s commissioner, Adam Silver.
