Serena Williams Donates Prize Money From First Singles Tournament Win After Giving Birth!

Serena Williams has gotten her mojo back and put an end to her three year streak of loosing.
Over the weekend the 38-year-old tennis phenom won her first WTA trophy since back in 2017, when she took home the trophy in Melbourne.
Serena’s win isn’t the most remarkable aspect of her major comeback. Instead of increasing her own pockets, she donated the $43,000 received from her winnings to the Australian bushfire relief fund!
The Australian bushfire is a crisis that has devastated multiplied areas of the continent and caused multiple deaths. When making the donation Serena explains, “I’ve been playing Australia for over 20 years and it’s been really hard for me to watch all the news and everything that’s been happening in Australia with all the fires and over a billion animals and people who have lost their homes.”
