People across the county will get the chance to see the new movie “Just Mercy,” thanks to Kim and Kanye!
On Tuesday, Kim Kardashian took to Instagram to let fans know that she and Kanye were so “moved” by the movie that they want to make sure people get a chance to see it. So, the couple partnered with a non-profit organization financed by the film’s producer Scott Budnick, called Represent Justice, to rent out theaters in various locations for movie goers to see it for free!
It comes as no surprise that the aspiring lawyer and her hubby were touched by the highly anticipated movie, which is based on a true story. Starring Jamie Foxx and Michael B. Jordan, the movie depicts the story of Walter McMillian, a black man wrongly convicted of murder and sentenced to death for a crime he didn’t commit.
The Represent Justice campaign is a social action campaign utilizing the film as a launch pad to encourage the creation of more films and entertainment projects that aim at raising awareness of the legal system’s injustice and inequality.
