If you’re a parent and are starting to run out of activities to keep your kids entertained, you’re in luck.
Michelle Obama is providing some help when it comes to story time. Our forever first lady has partnered with PBS Kids, Penguin Young Readers, and Random House Children’s Books to introduces a new weekly virtual reading session for kids stuck in the house.
The four-week series is called “Mondays with Michelle Obama” and kicked off Monday April 20th, with hundreds of thousands of people tuning in.
Michele Obama said the goal of this new initiative is to provide an opportunity for children to practice their reading, give families a break during an already stressful time, and of course share some of her favorite books with children across America.
In the coming weeks, she will be reading “There’s a Dragon in Your Book,” ‘Miss Maple Seeds,” and “The Very Hungry Caterpillar.”
To tune in just stream the live session on the PBS Kids Youtube or Facbook page. “Mondays with Michelle Obama can also be viewed on the Penguin Random House’s Facebook page Mondays at 12pm eastern time.
