It’s rare that rappers get recognized for doing major things in their community, so we have to take a moment to acknowledge G Herbo and how he is giving back!
The Chicago rapper purchased the building where he formerly attended elementary school and is now turning it into a community center.
Overton Elementary, closed back in 2013 and now G-Herbo is giving it a brand new look.
Herbo stated, “This is just about being able to lead by example for the next generation. We’re really just trying to change the narrative and lead by example… and show the next generation that they can do we’re doing even greater. We’re not saying we’re going to see drastic change tomorrow, but if we keep this up, there’s limitless opportunities and it’s limitless where we can go.”
