It looks like Google has been in the lab cooking up new ways to help us stay safe and healthy, while enduring the current pandemic. The tech company has now announced that they will be introducing a new feature that will allow Google Maps users to see an updated number of coronavirus cases that are present in their area.
The feature uses information from John Hopkins, The New York Times, and Wikipedia to provide a color-coded map with the 7 day average of new cases per 100,000 people in the specified area.
