Thursday, May 30th, was not a good day for Trump or his supporters. The former president received a guilty verdict of 34 felony counts of falsifying business records.
These claims stem from Trump paying adult entertainer, Stormy Daniel’s, $130,00 shortly before the election. He was indicted in March of 2023 after years of being investigated.
The trial spanned over seven weeks, 20 witnesses took the stand, and jurors deliberated for 9.5 hours. Trump did proclaim that he would be testifying before the trial started; however, he never took the stand.
Although it’s a historic verdict, Trump still has plans of continuing his efforts in the 2024 election. His sentencing is set for July 11th, just days before the Republican National Convention.
