DeMarcus Cousins Out For The Season Due To Torn ACL!

Just when we thought DeMarcus Cousins was over his bad streak of injuries, it looks like things aren’t looking to good for the Lakers player.
On Thursday, his team confirmed that he injured himself during practice in Las Vegas, earlier this week. What makes it even worse is that the injury is pretty serious. He tore his ACL Im his left knee, after reportedly colliding with another player. Now, instead of playing alongside Lebron James, DeMarcus will have to sit on the sidelines for most if not all of the season.
Cousins has managed acquire an average of 21.2 points and 10.9 rebounds over portions of nine seasons in the NBA with Sacramento, New Orleans and Golden State. He’s is one out of 11 players in the league’s history to average that many points and rebounds per game in a career.
DeMarcus’ teammate, Kyle Kuzma, was asked to make a statement regarding the his injury.
This is our livelihood and it’s something that we love to do. It’s super unfortunate for a guy like DeMarcus because you can just tell how much he loves basketball through all of these injuries … he’s fought back and tried to get back as early as possible. That’s kind of how the ball goes sometimes … he was going to be a big part of what we’re going to do.
Condona’ injury is definitely a disappointment to fans, because this season could have been a critical one in his career. Demarcus already suffered from an injured Achilles, right before heading to Golden State. He then ended up having to sit out for most of the playoffs, due to a quad muscle tear.
