Comedian/Actor John Witherspoon Dies At The Age Of 77
The comedy and acting world has lost a true legend today! Actor and comedian John Witherspoon, who is best known for playing the role of Pops in âFridayâ movies.
Although no cause of death has been released, Johnâs manager, Alex Goodman, told The Associated Press that Witherspoon died in his Los Angeles home late on Tuesday.
In a statement the family of John Witherspoon said, âWe are all in shock, please give us a minute for a moment in privacy and we will celebrate his life and his work together. John used to say âIâm no big dealâ, but he was huge deal to us.â The given statement also letâs us know John is survived by his wife, Angela, and sons JD and Alexander and a large extended family!
