It seems like the whole nation has been on a fried chicken sandwich kick, since Popeyes set everyone into a frenzy!
Well, it looks like McDonald’s wants in on the action! They are testing out a brand new fried chicken sandwich that could be available nationwide pretty soon.
Right now, the fast food chain is testing their new menu item out in two cities. On Monday, select restaurants in Knoxville, TN and Houston, TX got the chance to see what McDonald’s has been cooking up! Now it’s no secret that both of those cities are filled with people who know their fried chicken, but the fast food chain is hoping they will be able to withstand the heat of the kitchen.
McDonald’s isn’t the only company to focus on giving their customers a better chicken sandwich than Popeyes. KFC and Wendy’s have both cashed in on the fried chicken madness with claims their products are better.
It is still unsure how long the sandwich’s test run will be and whether or not it will turn out as a hit, like Popeye’s. There’s no harm in competition though, right?
