Instagram Set To Roll Out New Feature That Labels Photoshopped Photos!

If you are an Instagram user, it’s obvious there has been mixed reviews on some of the new changes recently introduced. However, it doesn’t look like that’s stopped the social networking app from continuing on with its new wave of features.
In fact, it has now been announced that Instagram will once again be rolling out something new! This time, though, it could mean trouble for influencers and models.
With the new feature, images that have been altered by photoshop will receive a “false information” label. According to reports, before the label is placed on a post, the app will use “a combination of feedback from our community and technology” to determine the picture’s authenticity.
That’s not it , though. There will be third party fact-checkers who will then determine whether or not the image is actually altered before the label is applied.
A spokesperson from Facebook, who owns Instagram, made a statement saying “we don’t hide content because it’s photoshopped, we apply a label was a fact-checker has rated it.” However, if a photo is deemed “false information” it will not be accessible on IG’s explore or hashtag pages and future posts will be flagged. Although this may be, users will still be able to see the images and find out information on why the images are considered to be “false information.”
