California To Begin Reopening This Week

With local governments attempting to cautiously move past stay at home orders, many governors are laying out plans to slowly but surely reopen their states.
On Monday, California’s Gov. Gavin Newsom announced that after a nearly 7 week shutdown the state will finally begin gradually allowing clothing stores, florists, bookstores and sporting goods shops to open their doors.
Gov. Newsom suggested most of the retailers can open Friday, however he did make it clear that curbside pickup will be used and other restrictions may apply to various businesses.
The governor revealed that requirements for operation will not be released until Thursday and Newsom also warned that any signs showing the virus has started spreading rapidly may cause him to put tighter restrictions back into place.
This is all apart of Gov. Newsom’s 4 stage plan, where Friday his state will enter stage 2. The next stage could be months away but would include opening hair salons, gyms, movie theaters and allowing in-person church services. Stage 4 would be the end of all restrictions and resumption of high-risk activities like concerts and sports competitions with fans.
