Spike Lee And Ray Allen In Talks About ‘He Got Game’ Sequel; May Star Zion Williamson And LaLa Anthony

The 1998 Spike Lee-directed movie “He Got Game” could soon be getting a sequel.
Recently, both Spike Lee and Ray Allen were guests on the jumpman “Encore” show where they revealed talks about the sequel have been happening on and off for years.
The original movie stared Ray Allen alongside Denzel Washington. However, Spike did say “Denzel is not doing it.” Spike isn’t letting Denzel’s absence from the sequel isn’t stopping Spike from making sure it’s packed with stars. Lee revealed he and Allen were planning on meeting with Pelicans rookie and former Duke star player Zion Williamson to discuss a possible star role, but the coronavirus pandemic put a pause on that. Spike also let us know LaLa Anthony will also have a role in the sequel.
Zion hasn’t officially spoke on bring the star of the sequel, but back in 2019 when asked if he would be willing to be a part of it he replied with a “definitely.”
