Officer Involved In George Floyd Case Now Asking For Donations From Public To Build Legal Team

Being an officer sitting in jail can definitely force someone to switch up a story quicker than Beyonce during a 30-second costume change.
Well, it looks like one of the officers involved in the George Floyd case is claiming he tried to do the right thing and is now turning to the public for help.
Thomas Lane’s family is asking that the public make donations, via a website they set up, to assist him with bail and hiring a legal team.
On the website, the ex-officer’s family proclaims that Thomas did everything his power and authority would permit when it came to trying to save George Floyd’s life. The family also pointed out that Lane suggested rolling Floyd over on his side, however ex-cop Chauvin refused.
Lane’s family is also claiming he called for the ambulance prior to George loosing consciousness and performed CPR when it arrived. However, he was unable to do more because of the chain of command, especially being that he had only been on the streets for 4 days.
With everything that the family is trying to explain, Lane is still facing extreme backlash and people are still calling for all four ex-officers involved to be convicted.
Currently, Thomas Lane’s bail is set for $1 million and is convicted he could face up to 40 years in prison.
