That time of year for black excellence to be celebrated is quickly approaching and the culture is excited!
The nominations for the 2020 BET Awards, being held virtually, have been announced and some of are favorite celebs are leading in nominations!
According to reports, Drake received the largest number of nominations with a total of six! not surprisingly, Drake was nominated for Best Male Hip Hop Artist, Viewer’s Choice Award, and Best Collaboration, with multiple nominations for some categories.
Right on his heels are Megan The Stallion and Roddy Rich, who both received 5 nominations each.
Megan was announced as a nominee for the categories of Best Female Hip Hop Artist, Best Collaboration, Video of the Year, Album of the Year, and Viewer’s Choice Award.
Now as for Roddy Rich, he now has a shot at walking away with awards for Best Male Hip Hop Artist, Video of the Year, Album of the Year, and Viewer’s Choice Award, and Best New Artist.
Now This year things will be a little different, because the ceremony is being held virtually. However, for the first time in the award’s history it will simultaneously broadcast on CBS.
It has also been announced that Amanda Seales will be hosting the show, which goes down June 28th.
