It’s almost that time if year again! The BET Hip Hop Awards are coming near and of course we have to talk about this year’s nominations!
Not so surprisingly, North Carolina native Da Baby is coming out on top when it comes to nominations. He’s leading the pack with 12 nominations including “Lyricist Of The Year,” “Hip Hop Album Of The Year” and more.
Coming in closely behind Da Baby is Roddy Rich who received a total of 11 nominations. Megan thee Stallion and Drake both tied with 8 nominations, giving them the third highest spots this year.
Now other artists like The City Girls, Mulatto, and Pop Smoke we all nominated for various categories, but can we shine a light on NC real quick?
Not only did Da Baby come through with all the nominations, but there’s a few other NC artists who are definitely representing.
Both Rapsody and J. Cole were nominated for “Hip Hop Lyricist Of The Year” so big congrats to them!
