As a North Carolinian it is not abnormal to be driving and see a confederate flag on the license plate in front of you.
Well, it looks like that will be stopping soon enough, since NC’s DOT has announced plates with confederate flags will no longer be issued or renewed.
The State recently announced it’s decision saying that the symbol has “potential to offend.”
Of course everyone is not happy with the decision that has been made, including the North Carolina Division of Sons Of Confederate Veterans. The group is now claiming the state of NC is demonstrating “discrimination” and claims it is breaking the law.
