The United State’s Mint has announced it will be launching a new series of quarters that will honor 20 trailblazing women.
To start off the series Maya Angelou and Dr. Sally Ride will be featured on the back of the coin.
The new coins, honoring the poet and NASA astronaut, are expected to begin circulation in January of next year and will continue until 2025.
This is all a part of the American Women Quarters program.
