On Friday, The New England Patriots announced that Jerod Mayo will be the football teams new head coach.
Jerod is a former NFL player who was drafted to the Patriots, back in 2008. After retiring, he returned to the team as a linebackers coach in 2019.
The teams decision to hire Mayo came just one day after the team and legendary coach, Bill Belicheck, parted ways.
This makes Jerod Mayo, age 37, the youngest head coach in the league!
