Wendy’s Under Backlash After $440K Donation Has Reportedly Been Made To Trump’s Campaign

Tuesday, Twitter was in an uproar after thousands of people came for Wendy’s with a whole bunch of backlash.
#WendysIsOverParty trended online for most of the day after it was reported that a franchise, which is on Donald Trump’s restaurant-recovery round table donated more than $400,000 in order to help with his reelection.
The Wendy’s franchise that made the donation is owed by Muy Cos, whose CEO James Bodenstedt was announced as a participate in the round table back in mid-May.
Reportedly, that’s when $440,000 was donated to Trump’s Campaign along with a more recent donation of $200,000 to the Trump Victory PAC.
Although Bondenstedt is an independent franchisee of Wendy’s and his company Muy Cos. also owns and operates multiple Taco Bell and Pizza Hut locations, everyone has been coming at Wendy’s neck.
As of now, Wendy’s nor Muy Cos. have given any comments regarding the donation or backlash.
